It’s been a minute…

I haven’t blogged nearly as much as I’ve wanted to and I apologize for that – the truth is, I’ve actually been working on some side projects along with a refresh of the “Project Cars” for albertroxas.com so that’s my excuse at least! I’ve got about 3 weeks of C&C pics to post along with some candids from the side projects that I will get up soon. In the meantime, if you’re visiting from overseas – send me an e-mail! I’ve got some goodies to give away as a thank you for reading from a far…

Here’s a few preview pics of the content we’ve got to load:

For Driving-Line – Ignition Art: Art of the Start

More horse.

and throwing these things on for a buddy…

More to come…stay tuned. (Been saying that since 2001 LOL)

Advan.

I’ve got a buddy that works at Yokohama that I meet up with whenever he’s in town – we always shoot the shit, discuss the state of the aftermarket industry and of course drink Lee’s LOL. I always get the coolest schwag from him – checkout the Yokohama flexfit and the Advan T-shirt…SICK. Thanks Man!

Art in the Streets : MOCA.

After seeing this on The Hundreds blog and mentioning it to Irv -figured this was one of those “have to make the trek out to LA” type deals. Runs thru August, so no stress otherwise, but I had to take the opportunity to checkout the likes of Shepard Fairey, Mr. Cartoon, Estevan Oriol and of course…Banksy. I’m not an artsy fartsy type guy so this won’t be an indepth analysis, just my opinion of what I saw that interested me and I thought was particularly cool- check it out for yourself and make your own judgement!

Shot of where they held a skate demo on opening nite.

Impressive collection of spraycans…I’m gonna do this with Lee’s coffee cups someday.

Was nice to get out with the wifey and checkout something “cultural” – hey, I’m expanding my boundaries…I even tried a new ramen place out there (it sucked). Hit me back with opinions, thoughts comments…hope everyone had a nice easter weekend!

Met a legend today.

So many updates to post, been such a busy past month or so. Check back for a bunch of new content in the next 48. I still need to send out some prizes as well. Hope everyone has a great Easter.
Special thanks to Phil for the shot 🙂  Caption for a prize: I’ll start – “You drive a what?” hahahah.

RIP Richard Hamann.

Happened last week but I wanted to make sure I posted something on this. If it wasn’t for Richard Hamann, there’d be no “tUNINGwERKS”, no WheelPower, hell – the golden years of the BMW aftermarket (1999-2003) would not have existed. I can honestly say this since Hamann is what brought people like Me, Jay, Jon and a lot of my closest BMW friends together. I don’t know if I would’ve met these guys if it wasn’t for Hamann – and a lot of good times would have been missed. *Ask Jay his opinion about this and you’ll get a great Chinese accent along with how reamed we used to get initially until we saw the true WD pricesheet LOL. But hey, that’s all in the past. Hamann stuff was the sh*t back in the day – and we made damn well sure everyone knew that. We had the East Coast locked down with DTM and the West Coast with tUNINGwERKS. Great times, fun memories and cool products.
For those not in the know, these are the “Certificates of Authenticity” that WheelPower used to give out with each Hamann product so you knew that you were getting the real deal…yes, I owned this much Hamann stuff at one time LOL.
RIP Richard Hamann – 1957-2011

JDMEGO.

Regardless if you’re a Euro or Import guy – you gotta know JDMEGO. Jay’s been killin it for a minute now (they even sell his stuff in Japan!) so if you haven’t peeped him yet you’re missing out. Check him out here – crazy OG original stuff. I still have to get my hands on one of his infamous boner Jams lanyards LOL.

Paid in Full.

Caught this on Ben’s blog so I ordered mine up. Always on the hustle so this will come in handy – not to mention that it’s cheaper than paypal (2.75%) – seems like withdrawal is faster on Paypal though, Square says up to 30 days. If you own a small business or hate dealing with foolios that never have cash (especially when the bill comes! LOL everyone has one of these in their group right?)…Oh you don’t have cash? It’s cool, I take credit cards LOL.

Superbowl Sunday

So…I get invited by a friend to checkout his new “mancave” for Superbowl (I started calling it the man-building LOL)…I usually do Superbowl Sunday with at my brother-in-law’s and it’s a family thing so I figure I’ll just roll thru real quick, check it out and say wassup…
