As Irv would say…one to stock and one to rock. The last of my Christmas/Bday gifts…
Secret Millionaire
Caught this last nite, what a great show! Premise is that these “secret millionaires” spend one week living on welfare funds, meet other people in need who help them and then determine who to give a minimum of $100K to at the end of the week. (Note: this is there own money that they’re giving out) – finally, a worthy “reality” show that gives back to people in a real way…
Next week Miles Kovacs is on (Founder of Dub) – aftermarket represent! Can’t wait to see how his turns out.
Check it out on Channel 11 (Fox) on Wed. nights…2 hours.

Thanks to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday, my friends and family are the best gift of all (seriously). Every year at this time I always look back and think to myself, in ___ amount of years, what have I achieved? How can I be a better person? How can I continue to be successful? How can I be more successful? Insane, I know – but sometimes these are the questions that continue to motivate (read that as scare) me to continue to strive to succeed. I’ve copied a few “well wishes” below that I’ll keep around as a reminder. Thanks again everyone 🙂
To another healthy and prosperous year and many more to come!
To the year of the sportscar!
happy b-day man. Congrats to all you’ve accomplished and will conquer in the future. Cheers
Happy bday old man! to another year of being a balla….oh…and another year of more hairloss!
Happy Birthday Albert!!! Now go and buy yourself a car!
LOL…good stuff guys.

My end-all of current Smart Phone reviews…
Most people who know me are aware of my love of phones – dating all the way back to the StarTac, I always had a thing for the latest phones…some of my other favs were my Nokia 8080 and even my pre-release overseas RAZR with Kanji for alphanumerics so I couldn’t text people LOL. Anyways, we were discussing the latest run of BB’s (Storm/Bold – etc) and I wanted to throw in my 2 cents on each phone since I rock a few and had my hands on a few today:

First off – the Blackerry Bold: Okay, seriously – this thing is an 8800 with all the curve functions. The faux leather back is a bit cheesy, but the thing feels solid and just straight up better than the curve. The screen is AMAZING – even better than the Storm and better than the iPhone. New menu is nice, video and camera is nice – a great “Corporate” BB IMO…think of this as the Bentley of Blackberry’s.
Thumbs up on fit and finish, screen quality and look.
Thumbs down on price – $299 / Pass
Overall rating – 7 (down strictly because of price)

Current phones in use – iPhone / iPhone 3G / BB8800 / BBCurve:
I think most of us know the routine on these guys as the majority of our group is on one or the other – just some quick opinions:
iPhone / iPhone 3G – still the king IMO. Battery power would be my one gripe. For all the haters, it’s all good- you guys gotta do your thing too.
BB8800 = needs a friggin camera…Bold is a nice upgrade, but not at $299
BB Curve = nice phone with great apps/options…but feels crazy cheap.

Finally, the Blackberry Storm:
First off, the phone feels nice – definitely the nicest $199 “smart” phone out there IMO. The OS was VERY laggy, holy cow – my buddy and I went through a bunch of the menus and the delay was pretty embarrassing considering the multitude of apps within it. Our telecom guy stated this was directly due to the processor and that he doesn’t believe an OS update will help much. Needless to say, if it wasn’t for the OS lag, this would be a GREAT phone. The full screen press down didn’t bother me as much as I thought, but it does take some time getting used to if you’re accustomed to using a normal blackberry. (Each key-in requires a full screen push so it’s not nearly as fast as typing on a normal BB or even on an iPhone). The video quality was awesome…on par if not better than the iPhone IMO.
Thumbs up on price, quality and cool factor. PRICE in particular, $199 – you gotta be kidding me.
Thumbs way down on lag and full screen pushdown.
Overall rating – 7 (if they speed this sucker up somehow, I’d actually consider getting one for work LOL)
Morning Goodness.
This is probably the worst breakfast for me, but I haven’t had it in a long time…sooo good. I’ll just throw on extra 5 min. on the elliptical. That wonderful glow is honey drizzled over the soft flaky biscuit…LOL! Chik Fil A chicken mini’s pictured w/hash browns and OJ, the stuff good mornings are made of.

Staples Center
Caught the Clippers/Hornets last night thanks to the homey Omid. Closest I’ve ever been to the floor – felt like the Waterboy saying “Slap Hands! Slap Hands!” as they came through the tunnel 🙂
I could launch a 3 from here if I want! (Ari Gold)

Bdiddy coming through the tunnel. Insert Waterboy voice..”Slap Hands! Slap Hands!”

American Auto Manufacturers.
Here’s some free consulting for you…Obama, holla at your boy.
Here’s what I would push:
GM owns:
Buick – Dump / Good move not resigning Tiger, it’s not like I’d buy a Lacrosee because of him
Cadillac – Focus on the movers / Escalade and CTS, everything else goes.
Chevrolet – Focus on upcoming Volt/Cobalt and Vette, everything else – gone.
Hummer – Sell to Tata
Oldsmobile – DUMP. I can’t remember the last time I saw an oldsmobile dealer.
Pontiac – Dump. I don’t care about the next “G” anything. Buh Bye.
Saab – designed by jet engineers…whatever, sell to Tata as well.
Saturn – ALL IN. I think Saturn has the most opportunity for growth and the brand has a decent following…
Curbage.
Scion Marketing…
Ever since I had my old xB, I was always impressed with Scion Marketing. They give away the coolest schwag, have the hippest events, and really do a great job of getting the tuning community involved. Checkout the latest stuff I picked up during the LA Autoshow Media Day…pics available at A-T.
