Green machine. So perfect.

Matching OEM “luggage” for the Diablo…Lamborghini fanatics would appreciate this, not sure how it’d all fit or if it was truly made to fit like some of the Ferrari luggage is

You see this a lot which is pretty cool. Valentino Balboni sigs on cars. Best one I’ve seen is on a CF console with an arrow pointing to “sport” and his signature with “Enjoy!”.

I believe this is the “Renown” car with Renown front bumper and rear CF OEM replacement spoiler. Fitment wasn’t so hot on the grills, maybe this was a prototype car.

Super Trofeo. NUTS.

Bare bones in the cockpit. Great stuff.

Would be so fun to tear this around on Orange County streets LOL.

Mansory SLR – the front is so choice (Ferris) but the rear is bunk, particularly unpainted – thus you only get this shot. But man oh man, this thing kills.

458 Challenge Car

This 430 is particularly interesting because I saw it almost 6 years ago (the last time I was at the Concorso maybe?) when the 430 was first released. Nice paint to sample color – not to mention…it’s Apple related 🙂 Employee of Apple apparently.

Guy had to have been on the iPod team…

But what’s with the Tubi exhaust with Supertrapp Silencers? SO CONFUSED. If anyone knows more about this setup – please email me LOL. My only thought is that it’s due to noise restrictions at Laguna Seca but I have no idea…

Gorgeous Grey GTO. Tough to look at this car the same now that the 599-VX has been released to be honest…apples and oranges but still.

That’s it for Concorso! Not a whole heap of pics I apologize, one again just soaking in the experience rather than the need to “cover” the event. Targa Trophy LA this Saturday (ugh, I need to get back to work this week though!)

BMCD|Lamborghini San Francisco had a white and black Aventador displayed at entry (Concorso Theme = Black/White)…a much more complete vehicle than the pre-geneva version we saw at the unveiling way back in December. Starting to grow on me LOL.

Matte Black is played but I would still rock this with a red-zipper jacket and sequence glove any day. LOL.

LP-560 Bi-Color…Lamborghini’s attempt to sell of the remaining Gallardos. The only car that could ever really pull of the two-tone IMO is the NSX.

Interesting 458 in the Novitec Rosso booth…some nice CF pieces and panels.

This one is for my boy Ernie who drove up to scoop his first Ferrari (Challenge Stradale) and drove back with our friends the next day…great turnaround. Congrats again buddy and I hope to see it here next year 🙂

I first ran into a Zonda R @Ogara Coach during E3 a year ago…(Faithful readers of my blog will remember the awesome Blackberry pics LOL) – well here’s the second run in. Had no idea it was coming to SuperCar Sunday…

Straight Batmobile-esque lines under the cover. They mentioned that the cover would come off at 8:15…you would’ve thought Kate Upton was taking it off with the amount of people coming to check it out.

Unveiling…Funny cuz the guy in the back wasn’t happy about the way the cover was being folded.

EVERYONE uses Costco Microfiber towels. LOL! On the real though – checkout that CF Weave…there is titanium woven into there as well.

Interior is EPMD. STRICTLY BUSINESS. Checkout that laptimer in the center of the steering wheel. I see no cupholder for Lee’s though…FAIL.

A couple of nice surprises at today’s C&C.

Before you balk at the color, let Jon Sibal drop some knowledge: It was a similar stripe design from the Ferrari 250 GTO that won the 1964 Tour de France. Oh yeah…and of course there’s that “other” car next to it…so many people were neck breakin on the other ride LOL.

I ain’t gonna lie, I still wasn’t feeling it. But I guess when you can drop coin on a 599GTO, you have the right to paint it poo brown with corn if you’d like…People are still gonna check it out.

I’m usually not a hot rod guy, but this thing is SICK. Red paint looked wet, dropped on the ground…any car guy would appreciate.

Clean Meteor Grey 997.2 GT3. When these first hit I thought the rear wing was over the top for a “non-rs” but it’s definitely grown on me. My homie AW would like this one…subtle killer.

John’s (HH) ride – a nice blend of VIP while still keeping it gangsta in my opinion. 22’s, indonesian style dump, a splash of lowrider all in one.

John’s homie – Jay’s ride | former HH feature. Premier 4509 kit on a Vantage. Love this car. I would rock this all day with a Lee’s in the cupholder and deuces out the window.

5Axis built audio setup, you might have seen it at CES in the Pionner booth. Making babies cry on the daily…note the vent integration / so badass.

Tuned by “Polestar” – a little innuendo there? Wonder how many dudes were waiting for a stripper to come back and start the car up. The design reminds me a lot of “Evolve” who we used to work with back in the tUNINGwERKS days.

This kid was mean-muggin in his hot rod till he saw the camera LOL. Check out the heini keg in the front. GANGSTA.

A few weeks back “The Great One” aka Mr. Jon Sibal asked if I wanted to checkout the Forza 4 release event at the upcoming E3. Although I’m not a “gamer” I do like driving sims and who’s gonna turn down Jon right? LOL. As it turns out, a mutual friend of ours was hosting and asked me if I had any cars available that could be used at the event. We went back and forth a bit and settled on 2 cars I had immediate availability with – A Murcielago and a Bentley ( I <3 my fam). Incidentally, a buddies GTR was being used as well so I knew I wouldn’t be stuck alone LOL. We arranged transport, rental details and got the ball rolling.

The event was on a Wed nite, which meant that I needed to be at LA Live on Wed for transport arrivals, back in LA for the event at 8PM and then in LA for third time for transport pickup! This ended up working out to my advantage (or that’s the way I’m looking at it) since I wanted to get my car past the 1200 break-in anyways LOL. One thing I didn’t consider into the budget was 12MPG LOL. Anyways, the cars arrived safely from the transport at the scheduled 8AM delivery; despite some gate issues on the event deck. I’ve driven my fair share of expensive cars, particularly in a show setting- but it’s still a bit unnerving to maneuver a 6-spd Murcielago around an SLS and Koenigsegg and the like LOL.

Once the cars were placed, I decided to bail back down to the OC, have lunch with a buddy in Cerritos then head back for dinner w/my wife. I figured that if I leave late enough, I might not hit the dreaded LA traffic on the way back. For once the traffic gods worked with me and I was able to get from Irvine to DTLA in 40 minutes! I invited my old buddy Phil (yes, he’s OLD and he is an OLD friend LOL!) along as well since I had a +1.

NOTE: All the shots were taken with either my iPhone or my POS-P&S. I didn’t want to be “that guy” (for once) rolling around with full camera gear and most of my friends were shooting anyways so I knew I’d have decent coverage available. If the pic doesn’t have my logo on it, it was borrowed from the respective photographer.

Hit C&C, HRE Open House and the Encore 5Axis charity event on Saturday…let’s start with C&C.

One of my buddies (you may have recognized his original 458 from a shoot almost a year ago) scooped up another 458, this time white…so it was yet another chance to get the homies together and hit C&C. I feel bad for my neighbors whenever this happens since it’s always an early 7:30AM call at my house and you’ve got loud cars and guys smoking and laughing on my driveway, all good though – they’ve never complained and I think I’m usually a decent neighbor. LOL.

My other buddy Kev brought out his new Panerai 339…and asks me to take a pic of it with the 458. Don’t worry, I got approval to set the watch on the car first LOL.

Then I got this “brilliant” idea to take a shot of his watch in the rear view camera…I say “brilliant” because I wasn’t aware that I’d have to start the car. Awesome that my friends trust me with their new rides, but not awesome to have to stick it in reverse and hold the brake while telling Kev to hold his wrist still. LOL.
Hilarity ensued because:
1. Everyone got a pic of me starting up and sitting in the Ferrari (I’m a Lambo guy)
2. We looked like a bunch of idiots playing with expensive toys.
3. Kev couldn’t keep his wrist still.
