FOR REALS. Couldn’t miss picking up these guys – The Def Jam’s were an early bday gift from my wife, the Cal Color P-Rod’s I scooped during a friends and family sale at Nike! 🙂 No more shoes for me for 2009!!
Thanks Jay!
Caught this while I was in the Bay, Jay giving me a shout from his new blog at Fatlace- go check it if you haven’t already…full of JDMEGO Goodness.
Bay Area Bday Chillin…literally.
Just got back from a trip that my wonderful wife arranged to the Bay area (my favorite place to visit) for my bday – I always tell her we’re going to retire up there (Atherton/Walnut Creek Area) or Hawaii LOL so it’s a place I try to frequent as much as possible during the year. Also, for those that don’t know, I hate flying – so this is a drive-able distance that I don’t mind which gives us an opportunity to get away. Doesn’t hurt that we have good friends and family in the area as well! GO BEARS!
I joke that it was a bday dinner extravaganza weekend, but seriously- I’ve never eaten out so much in one period of time. On Wednesday nite (we left for San Fran the next day) we had Cheescake Factory. Friday we had Scotts Seafood and Saturday we had Thanh Long. That’s a lot of formal dinners out for me in a 4 day period LOL.
We took the leisurely way up the 101 and arrived at our Hotel around 5PM. We got settled then watched “The Blindside”. GO SEE THIS MOVIE. It will totally change your perspective on life – the story is incredible. After watching it, I thought to myself that if my biggest issue is the fact that I don’t have a Gallardo right now, life isn’t so bad LOL.
Friday nite, we metup with our good friends Kirby and Lisa @ Scott’s Seafood in Walnut Creek. I was presented with an official Fong$tyle shirt (Burberry Polo) for my bday – the starter kit for those that want to live Fong$tyle. Thank Kirb/Lisa!! 🙂 Yes, I keeps it gangsta! hahaha.
The next day along with some shopping in Union Square – I stopped by The Hundreds on Post. Love their gear – scooped up a limited “Cal” Colors Adam hat. My niece and nephew will be happy – GO BEARS!
Sat AM Kirb took us to the infamous Santana Row…checkout the iPhone pic.
haha – not a joke, apparently this was a “dead” day at SR. I joked w/Kirby since I’m 5 min from Cars & Coffee and we always have rows full of phat cars LOL. To make up for it, we dropped by Premier to check on his Gallardo.
If you take a close look at the pics – Premier covered some of the pieces with a new “satin” vinyl that is pretty sick, very “Revention-ish” as Kirby mentioned. Eventually the whole car will be covered in this satin wrap – should look SICK when complete.
Take a good look at the pic above – it’s what they serve in heaven. Garlic Crab from Thanh Long aka the original “Crustaceans” restaurant from the Ahn family. Quite possibly my favorite dish ever. Thanks for the bday dinner Ang/Mike!!
Kobe.
LeBron, stop dancing – start shaking hands and just witness THIS. Enjoying my bday weekend in SF, but had to post this up…
Good Fortune.
I’ve been blessed to say the least for sometime now, particularly as of late with fortunes (remember my last “4-wheel good investment” one?) – here’s the one I got today, on my bday…
Good Friends…
My car endeavors have allowed me to meet and become friends with some really good people. Case in point – Mr. Ben Liaw. I first met Ben when I was fresh on the BMW scene with my Hamann 3series back in 2000. He had left this company that sUUC’d and started Rogue Engineering which specializes in the best motorsport BMW parts. Anways, thru my various BMW projects, Ben was always there – providing some awesome parts and great advice. When he had heard I took delivery of my E46 ///M3, a short shift kit was at my door the next day. Hell, even when I picked up my 911, Ben was there with a CF Strut Bar …did I mention we never formally had any type of sponsorship agreement? I promoted a company that I liked regardless of whether I got the parts for free (something that you rarely see, honestly) because #1 – they were great parts, #2 he was my friend. Okay, enough of the teary eyed past – let’s get with the future. I see Ben’s kid rockin a dope Prada beanie on facebook and low and behold, it’s for me! LOL. Don’t sweat the technique – checkout the stitch! Ben also laced me up with a Rogue Power shirt – catch me at SEMA rockin it next week.
Go see it.
More than a Game – not a huge Lebron fan, but I’m a huge Brian Joe fan – the homie that used to produce some phat BMW crew films for us is now part of this latest project.
For you OC guys, it’s playing at:
AMC The Block
Edwards University Town Center 6 in Irvine
AMC Del Amo 18 in Torrance
Complacent? Busy? Lazy?
Maybe a bit of all perhaps – sorry for the lack of updates but the past few weeks have been a combo of all three. Interesting item in the mail though, new marketing materials from Porsche for the Panamera US release. Pretty nifty color swatch build kit – would’ve rather had the USB key (that looks like an actual Panamera key!) that they sent my buddy, but then again – he bought a Carrera GT. LOL.
I like big butts and I cannot lie…you other brothers can’t deny…
I sooooo wanted to flow a few bars for him just for kicks but didn’t want to embarrass myself THAT much lol. Ran into Anthony Ray AKA Sir Mix A Lot @ a Lamborghini Brunch & Run on Saturday. Super nice guy, we talked about the Veyron for a bit – he actually has some good knowledge on cars. More pics from the run coming soon – for now here’s me an Mix A Lot cold rippin’ up the set…
First Loso/Fabolous in Miami earlier this year and now Mix A Lot..who’s next? LOL.
BTW – I changed up the look of my blog again, apparently the previous look was pretty but not as flowing to read…I listen to feedback people!
Just did it.
Having a Nike Outlet within local driving distance is HORRIBLE. I needed to pickup some shoes w/a stiffer sole for Mountain Biking so I decided to swing over to the Block…mistake!! But at the very least they had some great deals and I was able to pickup an early bday gift too LOL. White/Green/Black SB’s for cruisin…black ref’s for mountain biking.
