Signs.

Been feeling complacent lately, maybe it’s the nice weather, maybe I’m just tired…who knows. It’s tough to stay on the hustle/grind 24/7 360, but I guess that’s what separates the dreamers and do’ers. I don’t want to be the former…but I still found myself lapsing…until today. I updated my FB status with “Albert is complacent, COME ON” and about 20 minutes later I get an e-mail from a co-worker (who isn’t on FB) with this pic…(apparently a car he saw on the way to lunch)

Cool, a Gallardo – a car I’ve been after for awhile now…so I didn’t think much of it, continued to drive to Lee’s to pickup a coffee. On the way back I took a different route and ran into this exact car:

Granted, this is South OC – but I found the coincidences motivating…time to get back on grind, pedal to the floor. Let’s go.

Arachnophobia.

I used to have a big fear of spyders 😉 Always figured they were more show than go, ruin the lines of a coupe, etc, etc…well, let’s just say a quick drive in one has forever changed my mind. Incredible weather today + an amazing note = automotive dreams.

Carefully waiting for the right moment to merge lol. I’ve driven a lot of nice cars, but it’s always stressful when you’re driving someone elses 😉

1 over Jordan…

A few weeks back I started noticing that my Nike Air Trainers (original post here) that I bought for the gym were squeaking…I’m not talking a little, it was seriously pretty bad, especially on non carpeted floors. A friend mentioned I could send them back since they were defective…yeah, right….well guess what. I spent $5 to ship, filled out an online form and ended up getting a full credit! Badass considering I used them on and off for over 6 mos! Since the credit was only available for their online store, I decided to get some NikeID’s. The interface is SICK. You can pretty much choose every type of color configuration, personalize logos, lettering, etc. This is what I came up with…wanted something that I could wear to the gym and get dirty, but still have a bit of swagger.

I <3 LA

Most people that know me are more than aware that I don’t follow sports, particularly team sports much. No favorite baseball or football teams…but when it comes to basketball, it’s all about Kobe and the Lakeshow. I really hope this is the year that I’ll be heading to downtown LA for the parade 🙂 Checkout this fortune I got the other day…somethings are just meant to be.

OH MY KNEE!! FU Pierce.

Amazing weekend weatherwise here in SoCal. Played hooky Friday to checkout the LBGP courtesy of my bro – got tix?

More updates to come…

More than a game…

Be sure to peep this when it comes out in October. Produced by a buddy of mine that used to shoot some car footage for us – features Lebronze (sorry, still a Kobe fan at heart). Congrat Brian!

Spring Break Part 2

Handled some shopping downtown and had a chance to checkout “The Hundreds” store – slick setup, so slick that I wasn’t sure if they were open LOL. These guys have a great blog and some killer designs. If you haven’t checked em out already, let’s go.

Ferrari Store now open downtown…I give this place 16 mos. tops. I’ve been to several of these boutiques (most recently the one in Miami) and I never see people buying stuff. Even if I owned a Ferrari I’m not sure I’d want all the brand schwag.

Gotta love a jollibee and red ribbon right next to each other- Filipino heaven LOL! I’m sure the lady thought we were a Japanese couple until I busted out my fake filipino accent.

Next to Lee’s Iced Coffee (yes, deserves caps) – this is one of my favorite foods/dishes. I stumbled upon it with my friends a few years back (thanks Arling!), which is shocking since I never try anything new. Since then, every time I’m in SF we head over to Thanh Long for garlic crab. If you’ve heard of Crusteaceans in Beverly Hills, this is where it all started. BEST GARLIC CRAB EVER.

Seriously, this is some bad ass crab. I’m not even a foodie and I guarantee people will flip like dolphins and sh*t if you try this crab. If you’re in the bay area, you have to give this a try. I’ll buy you a Phantom if you don’t like it. (Line taken from MTV Sweet 16 LOL)

Spring Break / SF Trip

Wendy had the week off for Spring Break so we headed up to SF to visit family and friends, celebrate her bday and just take some time off (NOTE: She’s a teacher, I’m not robbing the cradle guys) It’s funny because Spring Break used to mean great weather, partying and a break from school…in the corporate world, it doesn’t really mean anything unless you have kids LOL!

I rent cars from Enterprise maybe every 3 mos or less, depending upon what I’ve got going on, they always seem to have the best rates and they “pick you up” – which is handy. I always reserve a small car online, then request an upgrade at the time of pickup. This has worked for me pretty much EVERYTIME, which kicks ass since I get a larger car for the same money. I was in for quite a surprise this time since I went from a “intermediate” to an 09′ LINCOLN TOWN CAR LOL. Straight presidential. Uber comfy, but seriously drives like a mattress on wheels.

We stopped off in Lost Hills, which apparently had NO POWER in the entire town. Right out of a zombie movie, good thing we had more than enough gas, bad thing that I had to pee so bad I could taste it.

The drive went pretty quick considering all the wind and rain, we stopped off at FONGSTYLE’s to say wassup, I hugged his Gallardo that was sleeping in the garage. Gotta get me one of these…

Part 2 coming up later today – gotta head back to work!
