If you’re visiting my blog for the first time, then welcome. I don’t normally blog food - but this was a special case as #1 - the name of the restaurant and #2 - it’s in Dusseldorf LOL.

On the itinerary my buddy Arling put together, my wife noticed “Takumi” as a location / stop. She asked what it was and I remembered from our last trip that it was a Ramen spot he had stopped at - incidentally, it bears (bares?) the same name as my son so he made it a point for our group to check it out.

I’m no foodie and I may be biased, but the ramen was pretty damn good. I’m sure it helped that we were hungry, cold and in a foreign country where asian food wasn’t easily accessible, but it was solid enough for us to eat it twice in two nights - unless my homies were just being nice and eating there because of the name? Regardless, it was a good time with good food. Plus, there was always a wait - that’s usually a good sign right?

Potstickers…not sure what was in them, but it was good.

Chicken Karage - Super Super good. We killed a few plates of this.

The Ramen…yeah, I’m a pretty basic eater, nothing crazy in there. Pure and good. The Coke overseas seems to taste better too, maybe just cuz I was on vacation LOL.

If you’re ever in Dusseldorf (I think there’s also one in Munich as well) be sure to stop off at Takumi Ramen - I even bought a shirt from there to represent! :)
